Every Thursday from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, the Presbyterian Church in Morristown runs free 20-minute guided walking tours of a congregation that’s been here since 1733, which, for context, is older than the United States by a comfortable margin. You’ll hear about Revolutionary War connections, George Washington’s time in town, the church’s stint as a wartime hospital, and how the Morristown Green took the shape we recognize today. It’s a lot of history packed into a short walk, and the parking in the rear is free for the duration of your tour, which is more than we can say for most things within eyeshot of the Green.
