Every Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the Presbyterian Church in Morristown runs free 20-minute guided walking tours of one of the oldest congregations in New Jersey, founded in 1733. You’ll hear about Revolutionary War connections, George Washington’s time in town, the church’s stint as a wartime hospital, and how the congregation helped shape the Green you’ve probably walked past a hundred times without knowing any of this. Tours are free, open to everyone, and free parking is available in the rear for the duration. Bring your curiosity, a comfortable pair of shoes, and the mild guilt of a lifelong local who never knew any of this.
