The sixth installment of the library’s summer scavenger hunt series is themed around rocks, and yes, that’s as geologically exciting as it sounds. Grab a booklet at the Children’s Room, hunt down 12 hidden pictures tucked around the space, fold each page as you find it, and return to the Children’s Desk for a prize when you’ve got them all. It runs all day on August 9, so there’s no scramble to get there by a specific hour. Open to children and teens, free to join (it’s the library), and a solid excuse to let a kid feel like a detective for twenty minutes.
