Chess Club
Looking to practice your chess skills? Looking for some friendly competition? Then come to the Morristown & Morris Township Library’s Chess Club! Meetings will be held the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month in the Reference Wing. In the summer, meetings will be held on the front…
Chess Club meets the first and third Thursday of every month in the Reference Room of the library’s 1917 Wing, and the October 15th session kicks off at 5:30 p.m. This is a drop-in gathering for people who already know how to play, not a lesson, so whether you’re a casual weekend player or the kind of person who memorizes openings in the shower, you’re welcome. Bring your own chess set and time clock. In warmer months the group moves to the front lawn, but October in Morris County keeps everyone sensibly indoors.
