Chess Club
Looking to practice your chess skills? Looking for some friendly competition? Then come to the Morristown & Morris Township Library’s Chess Club! Meetings will be held the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month in the Reference Wing. In the summer, meetings will be held on the front…
Chess Club meets the first and third Thursday of every month at 5:30 p.m. in the Reference Room of the library’s 1917 Wing, with summer sessions moving to the front lawn when the weather cooperates. It’s drop-in friendly and open to all skill levels, but this isn’t a beginner’s lesson, so you’ll want to know your knights from your bishops before you show up. Bring your own chess set and time clock, and whatever psychological armor you use when a stranger quietly dismantles your Sicilian Defense in twelve moves.
