Meets the first and third Thursday of each month in the Reference Room of the library’s 1917 Wing, the Chess Club is exactly what it sounds like: a room full of people who already know the rules and want someone to play against. This isn’t a lesson, so you’ll need to show up knowing your way around the board. Bring your own chess set and time clock, and whatever level you play at, you’re welcome. In summer, the whole thing moves to the front lawn, weather permitting.
