Meets the third Thursday of the month (and the first, too) in the Reference Room of the 1917 Wing, this is a drop-in chess club, not a lesson. You’re expected to know the game already, so if you’re still fuzzy on en passant, maybe do a little homework first. All skill levels are welcome beyond that baseline, and the vibe is friendly competition rather than cutthroat tournament play. Bring your own chess set and time clock. In summer months, meetings move to the front lawn when the weather cooperates. Free and hosted by the Morristown and Morris Township Library.
