The Morristown & Morris Township Library runs its Chess Club on the first and third Thursday of every month, and this July 16th session kicks off at 5:30 p.m. in the Reference Room of the 1917 Wing (or the front lawn if the weather cooperates). Fair warning: this isn’t a class, so you’ll want to show up already knowing your knights from your bishops. All skill levels are welcome, and you’ll need to bring your own chess set and clock. Think of it as a low-stakes throwdown where the only thing bruised is your ego when the quiet guy in the corner dismantles your Sicilian Defense in eleven moves.
