The Chatham Historical Society is leading guided walks along Historic Main Street on September 26, with tours departing from Shepard Kollock Recreation Park (16 Henderson Road, on the bank of the Passaic River) at noon and again at 2:00 p.m. You’ll cover about a mile, wrapping up in the downtown business district where shops and restaurants are waiting to help you decompress after all that absorbing of local knowledge. It’s free and runs rain or shine, but space is capped at 15 people per tour, so pre-registration is required. Email [email protected] to grab your spot before someone else does.
