Carolyn Dorfman Dance brings its contemporary storytelling to the Morris Museum on Saturday, March 6, 2027 at 2:00 PM, joined by Rashad Wright, poet laureate emeritus of Jersey City and a two-time Grandslam Champion of Jersey City Slam. The program weaves dance and spoken word around African and Jewish narratives of exile, resilience, and hope. Wright’s slam credentials are serious: he’s competed nationally, appeared on NPR’s Here & Now, and his poetry has shared stages with Amiri Baraka and Rudy Francisco. Tickets are on sale now for Morris Museum members, with general public sales opening October 6th. Call the box office at 973-971-3706 to purchase by phone.
