On September 1 at 10 a.m., Macculloch Hall Historical Museum invites adult artists of any skill level into the garden to try theorem painting, a stencil-layering technique that young Mary Louisa Macculloch herself used to make a painting for her parents while away at school. Teaching artist Lisa Madson leads the session, all supplies are provided, and you just need to bring an apron or smock (and, ideally, a tolerance for the fact that a teenager from the 1800s was probably better at this than either of us). Tickets are $15 per person or free for Loyalist members and above. Pre-registration is required, and the refund deadline is the Friday before the program.
