America at 250: Can Local News Unify Our Nation ... Again?
On June 9, 2026, the Corporation for New Jersey Local Media brings a panel to the Morris Museum worth showing up early for. Doors open at 6 p.m., which gives you half an hour to wander the galleries before the 6:30 discussion kicks off. The question on the table: did local news help hold this country together once, and can it do that again as we hit 250 years? Brian Stelter, Assemblywoman Aura Dunn, Rutgers historian Andrew Shankman, and BINJE founder Tom Bergeron will hash it out, moderated by CNJLM’s Joe Territo. Free parking, all ages, and proceeds support local journalism. VIP reception tickets are limited, so check the Eventbrite listing for details.
