The Sebastians are an early music ensemble that the New York Times called “everywhere sharp-edged and engaging,” and on October 29th at 7:00 PM they’re bringing that reputation to the Morris Museum for a program built around the Baroque’s capacity for the genuinely unsettling. Think Bach’s D minor Toccata and Fugue, Tartini’s Devil’s Trill Sonata, and enough musical storms and ghost portraits to make you forget the candy-corn hangover you’re nursing. It’s all performed on period instruments, which somehow makes the spooky parts spookier. Tickets go on sale to the general public July 20th (members get early access starting July 13th). The box office is at 973-971-3706.
