5th-6th Grade Book Club: The Ark Plan

@ F.M. Kirby Gallery

One hundred and fifty years ago, the first dinosaurs were cloned. Soon after, they replaced humans at the top of the food chain. The only way to survive was to move into underground compounds. . . . Five years ago, Sky Mundy’s father vanished from North Compound without a trace.…

Dinosaurs reclaimed the surface, so humanity moved underground, and now a fifth-grader named Sky Mundy is crawling back up to find her missing dad. If that premise doesn’t hook your rising fifth or sixth grader, we’re not sure what will. This book club meet-up at the F.M. Kirby Gallery on August 12 runs from 2:00 to 2:30 p.m., which is just enough time to compare theories, argue about dinosaur logistics, and still make it home for dinner. Read “The Edge of Extinction: The Ark Plan” first (copies are in the Children’s Room), then register through the Morristown Library’s event page. Registration is required.
