Swiss Chalet has been on upper South Street for over fifty years, family-run the whole time. Custom celebration cakes are the main draw: the Food Network has profiled the shop’s cake work and birthday and wedding orders keep the kitchen busy through the week.

A full case of European pastries and a small cafe menu cover breakfast and lunch hours. Open daily; later hours Thursday through Saturday than most local bakeries.
